Whole body cryotherapy (WBC)

 




Whole body cryotherapy (WBC) is a wellness trend that involves briefly exposing the body to extremely cold, dry air ( between -135°F and -189°F ) in a specialized chamber for 2 to 3 minutes. It is used for various purported benefits. 


  • How It Works : The exposure to extreme cold triggers a "fight-or-flight" response, causing blood vessels to constrict and redirect blood flow toward the core to protect vital organs. This oxygen-rich blood, sometimes thought to be infused with anti-inflammatory proteins and nutrients, then flows back through the body after the session ends.
